I woke up this morning with an immense case of schadenfreude, but I would not like to go into detail since the possibility of this thing going public still hangs. You, however, (I’m talking to myself) know the circumstances that caused such great pleasure, but just in case, for some reason, you forget what triggered such delight on this particular day, I’ll just say … Fringe Tassel (the name of the character in RBMG) who was inspired by the same person about whom such deep feelings of schadenfreude arose.
In other news, I’m still hacking up a lung every morning when I wake up. We’re going on two weeks now! Ugh. I succumb to the sticky-jam hands of the germy students during Summer Intensives this year and caught the tiniest cold during the last week of the damn thing, and now, I’m still sick! Luckily, I only had one truly sick-feeling day, but that one day nearly ruined our mini-vacay to Sokcho. Nevertheless, I have been feeling fine; I just sound terrible. I have this mucous-laden cough that refuses to quit. The intensity and frequency has lessened slowly over the past week, but I suppose if I’m still coughing by the end of next week, I should probably go see a doctor. Ugh. The worst.
Um … well, it’s Saturday and both Ee and I woke up about an hour ago at around 1245! It’s sort of amazing that he slept in so late. Obviously, I’m a professional sleeper, but lately, I haven’t actually been sleeping in that late. I’m going to make some breakfast now (eggs in a nest), and then hopefully, we will go do something mildly fun and eat something very delicious but not overly luxurious. Cough, cough, cough. Goddammit!
The weather’s been spectacular, topping out around 26 this past week, but now it’s warming up again with highs of 28 through the weekend. The humidity is down, however, so it’s beginning to feel like fall already! I’m just itching for the winter now, but I do have the sneaky suspicion that it will be a long, dark winter, especially since my prediction about summer being super hot but short came true. Although, this past summer brought a lot of rain, a specific thing about which no prediction was made, nevertheless, if you could feel the air this past week, you’d probably have the same inclination about a long, cold, dark winter ahead. Hopefully this doesn’t mean a lot of snow.
