The last, most recent time that he bumped into her —not literally— she did not remember him. This time, however, the world handed him a gift: the golden opportunity to be the one who rejects her. For at least the majority of the summer, he thought of nothing and no one except for her, Cy, the woman who would change everything for him. Described most notably as single-minded, girls, women, people in general, rarely, if ever, caught his attention. Busy with the goings-on of a young boy interested in nothing aside from how to someday travel to outer space or the depths of the oceans, Armin interacted with very few people in the real world, AFK and so, found himself frequently rebuffed by most people who distracted themselves with the common nonsense of everyday living.
Knowing that there’s little to understand within the minds of those who do not DO, he found solace in his outcast state, even welcomed the bumbling idiots who thought that he was the idiot. Nevertheless, his daily life turned on its head the day that he saw her and witnessed her travel through space and time in a way that he knew could not be possible. After that moment, his life’s purpose wrapped itself up in the sole endeavor of finding and meeting the woman who could so adeptly travel through spacetime. Obviously he knows that he’s probably crazy, but he can’t and won’t know for sure until he knows.
